Love this place. Best local Mexican food for a SoCal transplant that I've found in Lamorinda. Great prices, nice people, and quick service and delicious food. My fav is hard tacos with carnitas and the nachos are great. Son loves the super burrito. I like the small, hole-in-the-wall feel too. Cosy!

Authentic delicious food, excellent service. Salsa is outstanding and it has a large menu. Plenty of street parking. The whole family loved it. We'll be back soon.

Steak and chicken have excellent marinated smoky flavors. Friendly staff. Have come to really appreciate this place.

Pretty good. I ordered a chicken burrito and the size was nice. It came with a little side of chips and they have a simple little salsa bar with green and red salsa and limes. The total was around $13

the employees are quick and very nice here. i love their salsa verde so much as well! they give generous portions.

The carnitas and steak were very good. I asked the cashier for some pinto beans after I placed the order and he gladly made the adjustment. The salsa maya on the tacos and the salsa verde on the front are a 10/10. They also have complimentary chips and candy. Would come again

*a review during the COVID-19 pandemic* Maya's is one of my favorite local taquerias. It's located in Downtown Orinda (next to Nation's Hamburgers) so parking can be hard to find during the busy times of the day. Currently, they are doing take-out only and they used to have a salsa bar but right now they provided pre-filled salsa cups. The two salsa options they have are red (spicy) and green (mild). I personally the green salsa with my food. I either order the Maya's Tacos which are three mini tacos with cilantro and onion or the regular burrito which has a choice of meat, rice, beans, and salsa. They also have a burrito card where you get the 11th burrito free! Empty cards are usually at the counter and the cashier will stamp your card.

While it can be a little tough to get a hold of Maya through the phone, once you do, they are responsive and fast and delicious! We had some odd requests ordering as a group, with lots of little variations, and they got them all right! Their Maya burrito with no meat, guacamole, and Mole on the side was delicious! Generously sized, scrumptious when dipped in mole, and was ready within 15 minutes. Their classic wet burritos are also always a good call, especially with verde sauce. One of our frequent takeout spots in Orinda.
